Slow. Steady. Meaningful.
KIKOBANA Brand Story
What Motivated Us
KIKOBANA was born from time spent with young single mothers and children in Uganda.
Many of these mothers gave birth in their teenage years, carrying not only the responsibility of raising a child, but also the weight of social judgment and economic hardship. As we walked alongside them, we realized something important: what they needed was not only material support, but time, opportunity, and long-term connection—the ability to stand again on their own.
Why We Chose Running
This realization mirrors the philosophy of running.
In a world that celebrates speed, many believe growth comes from running faster.
But true growth comes from running slowly, steadily, and consistently.
When your breath becomes heavy, you slow down.
You find a conversational rhythm.
You listen to your body.
In that process, the body grows stronger, and the mind becomes resilient.
How KIKOBANA is a Promise
Each KIKOBANA product is designed to be more than an object.
It is a quiet reminder of human warmth in a fast-changing world—
a memory, and a promise carried forward.
A portion of every product sold supports education, vocational training, and improved living conditions for single mothers and children in Uganda.
We believe that KIKOBANA is not just something you wear.
It is a vessel for your values, your memories, and your intention to move toward a kinder world.
Meaning Behind the Name
KIKOBANA is built upon two promises.
KIKO — Keep It, Keep On
Not rushed. Not shaken.
KIKO represents the strength to continue without stopping.
Our journey with children and young mothers is not about perfection, but about consistency and growth over time.
BANA — Balance And New Achievement
BANA symbolizes balance—the courage to move forward at one’s own pace while carrying life’s weight.
It reflects the steps of children and mothers who pursue new achievements without losing themselves.
When these two words come together, KIKOBANA becomes more than a name.
It becomes a philosophy.
